D igital Signature Certificate is a certificate to authenticate the digital message or the document. The availability of the Digital Signature authenticates that the person signing adopts that content.A Digital Signature Certificate authenticated the electronic document in a similar manner of a handwritten signature that authenticates any printed document.
Every individual is allotted a different Digital Signature Certificate which identifies which Digital Signature belongs to whom. The signature cannot be forged as it asserts the name of the person who has digitally signed the document.
The recipient of the message can verify that the message originated from the person whose signature is attached to the document and the message has not been altered since it was signed either intentionally or accidentally. In case of alteration in a message, the signing person can disown the message claiming that the signature was forged.
Classes of Certificates
The IT law allows us three Classes of DSC, however we only sell Class 2 and Class 3 certificates.
Class 1 Certificate:
Class 1 certificates shall be issued to individuals/private subscribers. These certificates will confirm that user’s name (or alias) and E-mail address form an unambiguous subject within the Certifying Authorities database.
Class 2 Certificate:
These certificates will be issued for both business personnel and private individuals use. These certificates will confirm that the information in the application provided by the subscriber does not conflict with the information in well-recognized consumer database. it uses in MCA, Income tax, LLP, GST, IEC etc.
Class 3 Certificate:
This certificate will be issued to individuals as well as organizations. As these are high assurance certificates, primarily intended for e-commerce applications, they shall be issued to individuals only on their personal (physical) appearance before the Certifying Authorities. it uses in E-tendering, Patent, trademark, custom, Ebiding, E-auction etc.
